Production Operative (Temp to Perm)

We are seeking a Production Operative for a well established company in Grantham with an immediate start available for the right candidate. This role is offered on a 12 week Temporary to Permanent basis with some great company incentives!

Your duties within this position will include:-
– Operating machinery including; centreless grinders, vertical bandsaws, sliding table saws, auto feeding saws, chop saws, billet saws and a planer. Experience would be beneficial but not essential as training is provided).
– Working accurately within a fast paced environment, resulting in minimal material wastage.
– Moving materials of varied weights to multiple locations within the warehouse, and within the production line.
– Ensuring all goods are dispatched to customers with care, attention and in a timely manner (some job orders are dispatched within the same day).
– General warehouse duties; stock counts, general tidying of the site and machinery.

To be considered for this role you will preferably have worked within a production and/or warehouse environment either as an operative, or mechanical operative as well as:-
– having the ability to be forward-thinking with planning job orders, and dispatch times required by customers.
– being comfortable working on your own, confident in your ability as well as working within a team.
– carrying a positive attitude within the working environment to encourage a strong team moral.
– provide a flexibility, so that the business can meet the demands of its clients orders.

In addition to the above, a counterbalance licence and driving licence would be desirable but are not essential.

This role is offered on a weekly rotational shift pattern of Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:00 and Monday – Friday 14:00 – 22:00. The hourly rate is £13.45. Once taken on permanently, you'll receive company pension, on-site gym facilities, as well as a profit share bonus scheme based on your performance at all.
