Production & Maintenance Operative

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the unique production industry, is looking for a Production & Maintenance Operative to join their team to start their careers in production, maintenance and repair.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop or expand your hands-on skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
In this role, you’ll be involved in the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of machinery with a focus on transfer presses. You’ll support machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting, ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Training is provided due to unusual types of machines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs on machinery
Set, program, and load machines, especially transfer presses
Conduct routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning
Assist with tooling setups and understand how tools interact with machines
Work closely with production teams to ensure operational efficiency
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety procedures
Requirements:
Due to being based East of Lincoln City Centre, candidates must have access to their own transport.
Minimum 2 years’ experience within a repair, fault-finding, setting, programming or engineering environment.
Maintenance Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification would be ideal
Hands-on experience with transfer presses is highly beneficial
Strong fault-finding skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to set and program machinery
Understanding of tooling and its importance in production
A genuine interest in machine maintenance and repair
What’s on Offer:
£13.50 per hour, depending on experience, with a pay review due after initial 3 months’ probation

Flexibility of occasional overtime paid extra*, double shifts and weekend work is a must.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm or 4pm – 12am. On the PM shift, the break is paid.
