Product Development Lead

We have the pleasure of recruiting for a Product Development Lead on behalf of our well-established client who are based in Tuxford.  
 
This is not a tick-box role — this role would suit someone who thrives on thinking independently and isn’t afraid to bring bold ideas to the table.
 
This is a full time hybrid role with a salary of £30k- £40k DOE. You must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites and events as needed.
 
We’re looking for a creative, self-motivated individual to help shape the future product portfolio. In this role, you’ll dive deep into the markets they operate in, spot emerging opportunities, and map out product roadmaps that align with the growth plans. Ideally, you’ll have experience using CAD and be able to interpret and create technical drawings for suppliers to work off of.
Key Responsibilities:
Research market trends, customer requirements, and competitor products to uncover gaps and generate viable new product ideas.
Establish clear product vision, strategy, and a practical roadmap that aligns with company objectives and timelines.
Oversee the entire product development cycle — from initial concept through design, prototyping, testing, and final production — ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor product testing and quality assurance to guarantee performance, safety, and compliance standards.
Work with sales and marketing to build and execute plans, ensuring new products reach target customers effectively.
Track product performance post-launch, gather user feedback where possible, analyse results, and recommend enhancements or next-phase improvements.
 
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product development process and have excellent project management and organisational skills.
