Nursery Deputy Manager

We are recruiting a motivated, organised and approachable Deputy Nursery Manager to join our client in the west of Nottingham City on a Permanent basis.

Day-to-day, you will be:
– Supporting the Nursery Manager in promoting the nursery’s high standards at all times to parents, staff and visitors alike, assisting with show-rounds and communicating information to caregivers
– Leading the professional Nursery team and ensuring good standards are adhered to at all times
– Assisting the Manager in planning staff schedules and holidays to ensure correct staff to children ratios are adhered to
– Supporting Administration functions such as new child registrations and others
– Assuming responsibility for Health & Safety standards within the workplace
– Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the settings are adhered to
– Supporting team members to identify any additional needs within children and supporting their development as required
– Assisting the Manager with recruitment, interview and induction processes as required
– Planning activities outside of hours such as staff training, events and meetings
– And any other relevant duties in-line with the role of Deputy Nursery Manager.
 
We are looking for candidates who have:
– A background/experience within the Childcare sector
– Level 3 qualification within Early Years, NVQ, BTEC or similar
– Familiarity with Ofsted and Safeguarding standards
– Excellent communication skills across all levels
