Mobile Mechanic

We have an excellent opportunity for motor mechanic/technician in the local area for a growing business. The role is for a Mobile/Workshop mechanic required to work on cars and commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonne, covering a radius of 100 miles radius of Grantham, looking after our long-term fleet customers and courier company contracts. Repairs will also be carried out in our workshop as needed, particularly for larger jobs.

This is the ideal job if you enjoy being out and about working on different locations and vehicles. You will get to use your own initiative and solve problems. Our client is a business that rewards good customer service and high quality of work.

Pay is £14 an hour with a minimum of 41 hours a week with overtime available and an immediate start.

Skills Required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience
• NVQ Level 2 or time served equivalent
• Strong problem-solving abilities are crucial for diagnosing and efficiently resolving complex issues
• Excellent manual dexterity is necessary to skilfully handle tools and components.
• A comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems, including engines, electrical circuits, and computerised systems is essential.
• Effective time management.
• Effective communication skills play a pivotal role when interacting with customers and articulating technical information clearly and concisely.
• Good customer service
• Full UK driving licence
• Fluent in English verbally and written due to customer requirements.
• Reliable and able to work under own initiative
• Own basic tools required
• Be over 25 for company vehicle insurance
• Occasional Saturday working
• Physically fit.

The hours of work are 07:00am to 16:00pm Monday to Thursday
07:00am to 14:30pm Friday
