We’re on the lookout for a talented Groundsperson who loves being outdoors and takes real pride in creating beautifully maintained spaces. If you have experience in greenkeeping or fine turf care, this role offers an exciting chance to broaden your expertise across a truly unique and historic estate—featuring everything from ornamental gardens to sweeping parkland and tranquil woodland.
As part of the Forestry Department, you’ll play a key role in the daily upkeep and presentation of the Estate’s grounds. You’ll help shape the landscape by supporting a wide range of forestry, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance projects, ensuring every area looks its best and thrives throughout the seasons.

As a groudsperson within my clients you’ll be responsible for a range of tasks including

Horticulture & Landscaping:
Estate Presentation
Machinery Use
Health & Safety
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
good experience or demonstrable skills in grounds maintenance / horticulture / forestry.
Ability to use a range of tools and machinery safely (power tools, strimmers, hedge cutters, etc.).
Physically capable of doing outdoor work in all weathers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to take ownership and pride in appearance of the estate.
Good time management; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid UK driving licence
The Ideal candidate will hold the below, however full training will be given and the chance to obtain these is possible
PA1/PA6 certifcates
Chainsaw certification
Some knowledge of tree identification, plant health, and basic ecology
You will need to be flexible to work outdoors in all weather and don’t mind physical manual labour, there may be an occasional requirement to work outside of hours.
Depending on skills and experience this role starts at £26,000 and is based on a 40 hour week, along with an immediate start for the right candidate
