Experienced Electrical Panel Builder

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Panel Technician to join our clients close-knit and long-established team in Grantham, Lincolnshire. This is a key role within our clients company, as the successful candidate will be directly involved in the creation, assembly, and wiring of industrial control panels that form the heart of our bespoke ventilation control systems.

Your Main Responsibilities shall include but won’t be limited to:-
Electrical Drawing Creation
Design and create electrical schematics using a CAD-based drawing package. Full training will be provided, but prior CAD familiarity is advantageous.
Electro-Mechanical Assembly & Wiring
Build and wire control panels from issued drawings using tri-rated cable and appropriate termination techniques (crimp lugs, screw terminals, bootlace ferrules, etc.). Assemble and label components to precise specifications.
Electronic Product Wiring
Wire or solder connections to various custom-built electronic controllers. Assemble sensor and lead components using multicore or screened cables.
On-Site Installation Support
Occasionally assist with the final installation of new systems at customer sites, as needed.
What We’re Looking For:-
Proven experience in the electrical engineering sector, particularly with hands-on control panel assembly and wiring.
Holds at least a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent within Electrical Engineering. 
A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively while also demonstrating independence and personal initiative.
A positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and contribute ideas confidently.
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential, as occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
Reliability, accountability, and a genuine interest in being part of a business long-term are crucial traits for this role.

A temporary position with a view to going permanent after 3 months (to cover half of the expected probationary period).
