We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our client’s Lincoln-based metal fabrication company. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
The company specialises in bespoke steel, aluminium, and stainless-steel fabrication, delivering everything from architectural metalwork and staircases to large structural steel projects.
Key Responsibilities
Welding and fabrication work
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Producing quotes, estimates, and invoices
Supporting and leading workshop staff
Using SolidWorks or AutoCAD for design/drafting
Maintaining workshop organisation, safety, and efficiency
Building strong customer relationships
General administration and data entry
About You
Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience
Skilled welder/fabricator with workshop experience
Previous management or leadership experience
Confident with technical drawings and customer communication
Competent using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Experience using MieTrak or other ERP software would be preferred
Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
What’s on Offer
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 DOE
Monday–Friday, typically 8:00–17:00
Flexibility required when covering management/holiday periods
