Draughtsperson (Graduate or Experienced)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Draughtsperson to join a Newark based Engineering/Manufacturing company who are a long established business.
 
My client is open to applications from both experienced professionals and recent graduates who are eager to develop their career.
 
The successful candidate will be working in a professional engineering office environment working with a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and on occasion visiting sites, so you will need a full driving licence.
 
Salary – DOE
Holidays – 28 days inc BH, rising with service
 
The following knowledge / experience is preferable:
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD 2D.
• ONC or BTEC in Mechanical Engineering.
• A working knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• MS Office Experience including MS Excel.
 
Day to day tasks will include:
• Producing site layout drawings for client approval.
• Producing detail drawings for manufacture.
• Create bills of materials for manufacture.
• Amend and update existing drawings and control prints.
• Produce calculations to assist with designs for client approval.
• Assisting the shop floor with technical problems.
• Attend site to carry out site surveys.
• Manage projects when needed.
• Update technical documents and manuals when needed
