Class C Car Transporter Driver

Reflect Recruitment Group are working with a well-established vehicle logistics business who are looking for a Class C Driver to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HGV driver who enjoys being on the road and would like to move into the specialist world of vehicle transportation. This is a permanent role.
£33,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience. 
You’ll be driving either a 3-car or 5-car transporter, collecting and delivering vehicles across the UK while ensuring every vehicle is handled and transported with care.

What you’ll be doing


Driving a Class C vehicle transporter across the UK.
Using hydraulic loading decks to safely position vehicles for transport.
Carrying out vehicle collections and deliveries in line with planned schedules.
Loading and securing vehicles correctly before setting off.
Checking the transporter before each journey and reporting any defects or concerns.
Keeping accurate records of mileage, deliveries and vehicle condition.
Managing your routes and journey times effectively.
Ensuring all driving activity complies with tachograph and drivers’ hours legislation.
Maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle.
Representing the company professionally when dealing with customers and collection/delivery sites.
You’ll need:


A full Category C licence.
Previous LGV/HGV driving experience.
A good understanding of vehicle safety and load security.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
A reliable and responsible approach to work.
Good communication and time-management skills.
A professional attitude when dealing with customers.

Previous experience operating a car transporter would be a strong advantage, particularly experience with hydraulic decks, although applications from experienced Class C drivers with suitable transferable experience may also be considered.
Monday to Friday, with varied working hours depending on routes. Occasional longer days are balanced where possible with shorter days. Nights out are required from time to time, averaging around one night per week. Weekend work is rare.
