The Opportunity
 
This is a fantastic chance to build your career within a thriving Development team, working on a varied and high-quality caseload for national housebuilders, developers and landowners.
You’ll gain exposure to complex development transactions while collaborating with experienced Partners and specialists across the business. As this area continues to grow, you’ll also play an important role in developing client relationships and contributing to the ongoing success of the department.
 
What You’ll Be Doing
Your work will include:
Investigating title and carrying out detailed due diligence, including complex site set-ups.
Advising on conditional contracts, option agreements, promotion agreements and overage agreements.
Supporting the Specialist New Build Team with management schemes and plot sale documentation.
Acting on land disposals, affordable housing matters and freehold reservations.
Advising landowners on development disposals.
Preparing and negotiating legal documentation relating to easements, infrastructure agreements, planning agreements and licences.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives.
Working collaboratively with Partners and colleagues to maximise cross-referrals and grow the Property team.
Managing matters efficiently, ensuring compliance with quality, risk and financial procedures.
The ideal candidate:
Will be someone who is commercially minded, client-focused and passionate about property law.
You must have:
–          A genuine interest in Commercial Property with a focus on Residential Development.
–          Experience within commercial property, development work or the housebuilding sector.
–          A legal qualification (Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent experience).
–          Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent IT skills.
–          A sound understanding of Money Laundering Regulations.
–          Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
–          The ability to deliver practical, commercial legal advice.
–          Outstanding organisation and time management skills.
–          A commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
–          High levels of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.
