We are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Workshop Manager to join a busy and fast-paced fabrication and engineering business in Lincoln.
This role would suit someone with strong workshop experience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to confidently manage staff and daily operations within an engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
Identifying required materials and stock needed for manufacture
Managing and delegating work to workshop staff
Supporting and guiding team members to ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently
Daily data management and general administration tasks
Liaising with suppliers and sourcing alternative materials/stock when required
Supporting quoting and invoicing processes
Working closely with customers and clients in a professional manner
Ensuring workshop operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently

Requirements:
Previous engineering workshop experience is essential
Strong understanding of fabrication/manufacturing processes and workshop equipment
Experience managing or supervising staff
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Confident working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities
Customer-focused with the ability to take initiative
ERP system experience is essential – ideally MieTrak
SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD experience preferred but not essential
Quoting and invoicing experience preferred but not essential
