Driver / Loader

We are recruiting a Driver to join our Lincoln-based client to assist them with a contract they are fulfilling, expected to be first week of May but actual dates to be confirmed.
 
The work will be spread across two days -
Day 1 will involve meeting our client at the vehicle pickup site north of Lincoln, travelling to the storeroom to pick up the items and then driving down to South-East London. You’d then assist the client with moving the large items of furniture into the building.
You’d then be provided with a hotel booking in London.
Day 2 will then involve driving back up to Lincolnshire and returning the van back to the depot.
 
The van you’d be driving would be either a low-loader or trailer lift vehicle, so is suitable to be driven on a standard car licence, but ideally you would have driven one of these before with some commercial driving experience.
 
Likely duration of work would be around 8-9hrs each day.
 
Requirements:
– To be free for 2 days’ work beginning of May (we will confirm days of work as soon as we can)
– Reliable nature (the reliability is key as this is an important customer and job)
– Friendly personality
– Capable of lifting heavy items of furniture as a team
 
For the vehicle insurance:
– Applicants must be age 21+ with 2 years of practical driving experience and no driving bans within the last 5 years
– Drivers age 21-23: Clean Driving Licence
– Drivers age 23-25: Maximum of 3 points
– Drivers age 25-70: Maximum of 6 points
 
Rate of pay £14.50 per hour.
