Stock Controller
Our client is looking for an experienced stock controller to join their team. This is a hands-on, dynamic role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality, and loves rolling up their sleeves to MAKE things happen. You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring products, while also managing stock and ensuring that our fulfilment operation runs seamlessly. You'll be responsible for keeping the shelves full, standards high, and costs in check — especially during busy peak periods like Christmas and Easter a this is a business with peaks.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor stock across factory and warehouse, ensuring quality, freshness, and availability.
• Own stock forecasting, ordering, and delivery scheduling.
• Track and action low stock alerts, substitution needs and seasonal adjustments
• Ensure compliance and stock management.
• Minimise wastage and maximise availability
• Identify and onboard high-quality suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Vet and maintain supplier records
• Collaborate with the Brand Manager
• Build strong, accountable partnerships with suppliers to support growth.
• Support packing when needed
• Manage organisation, rotation, and replenishment of factory stock.
• Coordinate returns, rework, and re-send processes.
• Lead weekly order reviews and stock buying days.
Skills & Qualifications
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Food safety, allergen, and regulatory compliance knowledge
• Confident managing suppliers, cost pricing, and product quality
• Organised, hands-on, problem-solving mindset
• Collaborative spirit – loves working cross-functionally and jumping in where needed
