We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client who are based on the outskirts of Melton Mowbray.
This is a full time permanent role with a salary of £26,000 – £28,000 Dependant on Experience.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Own transport is vital due to the location.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will join a close kit team supporting the smooth running of the purchase ledger function. You'll be responsible for the accurate processing of supplier transactions and assisting with month-end duties.
Key Duties Include:
– Accurately process supplier invoices in a timely manner
– Scan, match and batch invoices using the finance system
– Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
– Prepare weekly payment runs for Financial Controller
– Reconcile supplier statements
– Ensure correct VAT treatment is on all relevant transactions
– Resolve invoice issues in collaboration with suppliers and procurement team.
The ideal candidate will have:
– Proven experience in an Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger or similar finance role
– Proficiency with finance ERP systems and strong Excel skills
– Clear communication and high attention to detail
– A collaborative and professional approach to teamwork.
