My client, from humble beginnings are now a local leading manufacturer and supplier of windows and doors to trade based companies. They are renowned for what they do, and due to growth and expansion are looking for five new Window Fabricators to join their professional team on a full-time basis. This role is offered on an initial temporary contract of 12 weeks with a view to be taken on permanently thereafter. That said, if you're great at your work, you'll be considered for an earlier permanent take-on! This role is perfectly suited for someone with an industrial/factory background, who enjoys being hands on, likes to broaden their knowledge and skillset as my client absolutely encourages the team to be multi-skilled to meet the demands of the business.
In return, you'll be on starting hourly rate of £10.42 with an additional attendance bonus given. Once you've been trained your rate of pay shall increase up to £10.61 an hour, in addition to the attendance bonus. If you are an experienced Window Fabricator, then a higher hourly rate is offered and will be discussed upon application. The successful candidate will have the ability and preferably the experience of reading drawings, working with machinery and hand-tools. A high attention to detail is certainly sought, as my client takes a significant amount of pride in their finished product. Someone who is able and capable of being on their feet as the role is standing based.
All training shall be provided, but down to business demands a quick and thorough learner is sought. This role does require your own transport due to the location of work.
Hours of work are Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:30 & Friday 07:30 – 13:30. Overtime is available on a voluntary basis of which you'll be paid time and a third for Friday's. Saturday's are also available as overtime from 07:00 – 11:00 paid at time and a half.
