My client is looking for a Technical Support Officer in the Neighbourhood Team to join for initially 3 months then potentially build to a permanent contract. My client is based in Grantham and are known for their efficiency and care for local areas. As a successful Technical Support Officer will be responsible for providing support to the Neighbourhood team, providing high quality, customer focused and cost effective services, prevent anti- social behaviour, improving the quality of the environment and building confidence within the area.

Your responsibilities are:
• Receive and record complaints and service requests.
• Provide administration support to other officers in a different sector with a primary focus on those officers within Neighbourhood Services.
• Provide advice to the public relating to service matters.
• Collate information and run reports for incident mapping, performance management etc.
• Research and interrogate records as required to satisfy FOI and similar requests.
• Assist with the coordination of meetings and in the preparation of agendas, taking of minutes etc.
• Produce letters, notices, certificates etc. and input data onto the relevant system.
• Process fixed penalty notices, orders and receipt goods on the financial system.
• Carry out research following instructions from the Team Leader.
• Provide support to other teams during times of high demand in line with business priorities.

• Manages time effectively and delivers against agreed objectives.
• Communicates clearly and confidently.
• Able to work with others to get the job done efficiently.
• Effective I.T skills, including MS office packages
• Respond to customer’s needs and learn from any feedback.
• Ability to deal and resolve confrontational and challenging situations.
Qualifications:
• Full driving licence or able to have reliable transport.
• 4 GCSEs including English and Maths (grades 4 to 9) or equivalent.
• Will require Non Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) in order to access joint agency incident management systems.
Experience:
• Experience of similar support role.
• Working knowledge of a range of functions.
• Experience and knowledge of Environmental Services (Desirable)
• Audio typing(Desirable)
Aptitudes
• Ability to remain calm in pressurised situations.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
This role is offered on a 37 hour week basis, Monday – Thursday 08:45am -17:45pm and Friday 08:45am – 16:45pm, with an hourly rate of £13.12
