Project Coordinator

Located in the heart of the city of Lincoln, my client is Lincolnshire’s premier independent flooring company. They have been installing commercial floor coverings in Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas for over 50 years and carry out contracts of values up to £200,000. They also offer their professional and friendly service to the public. They carry out work for private homes, schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, local authorities and main contractors for whom they work for on a formal and informal partnering basis. They pride themselves on providing a professional service from quotation through to completed installation.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking, motivated and dedicated individual to join my clients fast paced yet friendly team as a Contracts Coordinator.

The role will involve
Dealing with fitters first thing in the morning, dealing with fitters site problems, allocation of labour onto a daily sheet, arrange site fitting dates, site visits as required, dealing with snagging, pricing new sites, dealing with customer care, scanning of plans working out cutting plans, processing all jobs, cutting sheets and job sheets, dealing with customers in the showroom, taking telephone enquiries, general filing, ordering of non-stock items for jobs, supervising fitters work, arranging site samples and invoicing

Required Skills / Knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal / communication skills (written/oral)
• Fully competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Dexterity and eagerness to learn quickly
• Competence to handle multiple tasks and/or projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to deliver on tasks with a sense of urgency and flexibility
• Resourcefulness to think practically and resolve day-to-day issues as they arise
• Capability to work on their own initiative and prioritise to the needs of the business

Experience
• Relevant experience in a coordinator role with a proven track record of providing solutions to enquiries equal to or greater than the customers’ expectations
• Must be a good team worker but also be self-driven in this demanding role
• Relevant technical product experience in flooring and working with Contractors is desirable but not essential
• Past experience working with contracts and administering requirements is highly desirable

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm
Salary is £22 – 25k depending on experience
