Operations Administrator

My client in Grantham are seeking an Operations Administrator to join their professional and fun team on an initial 6 month temporary contract to be taken on permanently there after. This role has become available due to internal development making this a very exciting opportunity indeed, as roles here arise few and far between!

Your role as an Administrator shall include:-

– Take customer orders, raise the sales orders and factory works orders through our order management system
– Liaise with customers over order delivery dates
– Generate delivery notes for completed orders
– Book couriers and pallet haulage and chase up late deliveries and delivery errors
– Book in stock and chase late deliveries
– Assist with health and safety documentation and buying PPE / first aid kit

The successful candidate must have the following attributes and dispositions:-

– Excellent inter-personal skills
– Must be highly numerate and competent working with data, databases, spreadsheets
– Excellent attention to detail
– Grade B at GCSE (or equivalent) in maths or science, or ability to demonstrate at interview strong analytical and numeracy skills
– Proficient IT skills with strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word

Desirable skills:-

– Experience with order management / ERP / MRP systems
– Experience of working in an ISO 9001 accredited Engineering company

My client is seeking someone who possesses, reliability (as you'll be apart of the small team fulfilling a large volume of orders), flexibility, high attention to detail, time–management, Great with numeracy and has initiative and the willingness to learn and develop/broaden their knowledge and skillset. You really do need to be meticulous as you will working with numbers and spreadsheets. Any previous experience held within the manufacturing or engineering environment again would be welcomed.

You'll be working Monday to Friday (Some flexability with working hours) up to 27 hours per week.
