Marketing & PR Coordinator

We are recruiting for an experienced Marketing Professional to join a company based in Newark.

We really need someone who has excellent experience with the press side, has some experience working in a technical field and someone who has experience working for a multi national company – if thats you please keep reading!

You will work extremely closely with the marketing team and Sales team who are based at Newark but report into the Marketing Manager who is based in Germany. This is a full time role which offers hybrid working so you get the best of both worlds.

This key role will be responsible in enhancing the brand awareness and its reputation through creating and managing print and digital PR & advertising and supporting the Sales team in line with the European Marketing strategy, Corporate Brand Image & UK Sales sector focus.
Integrate in the UK Sales teams to obtain market and competitor intelligence and drive the right brand and product messaging though the sales team

Basis of the role
Press & Media
* Prepare and negotiate annual press and media plans for all regions
* Coordinate and implement the European Press & Media plans
* Creation of an editorial and publication plan and coordinate circulation with press agency and journalists and publication on websites /Intranet
* Prepare and coordinate writing of new Press Releases and LinkedIn posts together with external journalists
* Collaboration for press content creation and media budget support
* Propose and monitor the budget for press releases and advertising, include. online ads/banners
* Contact person for all Company locations in all press and advertising relevant areas

Market Intelligence
* Gathering on a regular basis market data on the UK Market to estimate market volume by segment, brand, product type and Industry. Constantly test this data and record all sources of information. Evaluate marketing methods and developments in the UK market to better support future communication.
* Be in close contact with the sales team to understand and evaluate the market situation and to be able to report on it. Investigate, collect information and report on trends (competitor, customer, Industries) to provide and input for product and service development.

Sales Support
* In conjunction with the European Marketing strategy, branding and the UK Sales team develop and implement a marketing communications plan for UK, covering current year and MTP.
* Manage the allocated budget to support the promotion of the brands in the UK
* Generate new ideas for marketing tools / material to support the UK Sales and local Distributors
* Support the organisation of local events
* Support and coordinated the creation / translation /approval of material in English language

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Degree in Marketing

Skills & Knowledge
* Excellent PC skills (Microsoft 365); additional like Photoshop beneficial
* Strong analytical skills
* Commercial acumen
* Flexibility to adapt to other cultures

* 3 years of Marketing / Marketing communications experience, ideally in B&B, or Marketing agency
* Experience of dealing with contacts and relationship building with marketing agencies
* Experience with global company environments

In return there is a Salary of £34-£40k depending on previous experience
