Machine Operator/ Supervisor

We are recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing company that are based between Newark and Grantham for an experienced Machine Operator/Team Leader.

Own transport essential due to location.

This position will be on a temporary to permanent basis.

We are looking for experienced Machine Operators with prior experience working within a manufacturing environment (preferably food manufacturing) to operate VFFS (Vertical Form Fill and Seal) machine and multi-head weighers.

You must have had prior experience working in a similar position to be considered as you will be responsible for operating machinery and supervising other operators.

Salary

£11.50 -£14 per hour depending on experience.
Overtime time and half.
Attendance bonuses are paid weekly .
20 days holiday plus BH.
Duties and responsibilities

Operating a range of production machinery (VFFS Machine and multi-head weigher)
Carrying out production, inspection, packaging, and machine operating
Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
Maintain a safe and clean workspace
Follow established safety rules and regulations
Monitor machinery during operations.
Monitor and maintain product quality, including dates, seals, weights, etc.
Evaluate and correct any faults within your authority.
Maintain and repair simple faults as needed.
Complete paperwork, including internal and customer-specific documents.

Able to work to targets/production KPI’s & production schedules.
Be able to work as part of a team.
Previous relevant manufacturing /production experience.
A desire to grow and develop.
Be flexible and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
Use and experience
Reliability is a key factor due tot he nature of the position and a willingness to learn and work with others.

Hours

Operating on a 2-shift Rota Monday – Friday

Hours of work: 6:00am-14:00pm

14:00pm-23:00pm, 14:00pm-18:00pm on Fridays
