Forge Operator
My Client is a world leading manufacturer of forgings for the Aerospace, Defence and Energy sectors. They are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to prestigious blue-chip companies. Due to a full order book, they are now looking for a Forge Operator to join their existing team.
You will be;
Inputting new programmes and modifying existing programmes on computer controls.
Organising die and tool storage and heating of dies in readiness for production.
Undertaking fettling, painting of billets and shotblasting duties
Carrying out repairs to dies and tools during production.
Ensuring customer specifications are achieved e.g. check dimensions against process sheets or sketches.
Undertaking forge inspection.
Branding and recording part and serial numbers or other required numbers.
Carrying out the cleaning of the pits and painting work areas as required.
Assisting with the successful introduction of new/modified parts.
My Ideal candidate will;
Have previously worked in heavy industry, with experience of operating heavy plant and FLTs (Essential)
Have a quality and Safety focussed attitude
Have a flexible approach to their duties and hours of work
Work well on their own or as part of a team
This is a Full Time position on a rotating shift pattern – Early Shift (Mon to Fri 6am to 2pm) – Back Shift (Mon to Thurs 2pm to 11pm and Fri 2pm to 6pm).
A competitve salary is offered with allowances, which will be reviewed upon successful completion of a competency period.
