Forge Operator (Night-Shift)

Are you ready to join a world-class leader in the manufacturing of precision forgings? Our client based in Lincoln is a manufacturer of metal components, and they are expanding their team seeking a skilled Forge Operator to join them. This is a full-time, permanent position to work on the night shift – training however will be completed on a 2 shift pattern. Competitive basic salary with allowances which will increase after training and development.

This is a forging environment, ideal candidates will have heavy industrial experience and have an understanding of working within a safety critical environment. Previous experience operating FLTs and other heavy equipment is advantageous
.
– Input and adjust computer control programs to ensure optimal production
– Tool and Die Preparation: Organise storage, heat dies, and prepare tools for seamless production
– Hands-on Production Support: Perform essential tasks such as fettling, billet painting and, shot blasting.
– Tool Maintenance: Carry out repairs to dies and tools during production to maintain smooth operations
– Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet customer specifications by checking dimensions against process sheets and sketches
– Inspection and Documentation: Undertake forge inspections and accurately record part and serial numbers
