Field Service Engineer

I am recruiting for a Field Engineer to join our client on the the outskirts of Mansfield/ Newark, they have an award-winning team that offers top-tier products and maintenance services nationwide.

They are a family run business with a friendly team with lots of progression opportunities as well as a training plan.


– A full-time position which gives you the opportunity to travel the UK. Some days will require you to attend their offices
– They will provide you with a van which is fully stocked with all tools required for the role. As standard we also provide a company laptop, phone and access to credit and fuel cards.
– All hotels are paid for with a daily food budget.
– Company pension scheme.
– 20 days holidays per years plus 8 bank holidays. Additional holiday can be accrued after two years full service.
– Hours will depend on business needs, but we can guarantee a minimum of 40 hours per week as standard. Due to high demand for their services, they also have many opportunities for overtime available for Field Service Engineers.
– Salary of between £32-40K.
– Progression opportunities to Commissioning and Installation Engineer available for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for carrying out service and maintenance on a range of systems. Working at sites across the country, this role is ideal for someone who is looking to manage their own time, as well as travel the UK with expenses paid.

Key Duties

– Carrying out service and remedial work at their clients sites across the UK, staying in hotels whilst you travel the country.
– Service systems and produce reports for customers.
– Check the operation of the system, including PLC control unit, filtration devices and storage tanks.
– Install equipment when required to ensure the system remains operational
– Raise sales opportunities for additional items, tank cleans and other services and products.
– Carry out all works according to health and safety standards.
– Ability to build a rapport with customers.
– Carry out any administrative work which is associated with site visit.

About you

– Hold an electrical qualification. Entry level as a minimum.
– A full UK driving license.
– Enthusiastic and hardworking attitude.
– Flexible to travel around the UK and stay away from home 3 nights a week with hotels and food budget.
– Ability to think on your feet and be self-motivated.

What you will gain

If you don’t hold them already, they will fully fund the following qualifications, CSCS card, working at height training, confined space training, and first aid training. They will also develop your knowledge of pumps and control systems.
