Commercial Glazing Estimator

My client is a glazing company who specialise in all aspects of New Works Commercial Glazing Projects, including, Curtain Waling, Aluminium Shopfronts, Entrances and Windows, Structural and Architectural Glass and Glazing and a range of Bespoke solutions, to include Steel Work, Structural Fixtures and Fittings, to a wide range of Commercial Premises throughout the United Kingdom.
they are wanting a skilled Senior Estimator to join their outstanding team who will work alongside our Sales and Projects team to grow and develop our business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, presenting to clients and securing orders for Commercial Glazing projects and ensuring turnover and profit targets are met.
you will
– Customer liaison at sales, enquiry, estimating and follow-up stages, to ensure opportunities are created and capitalised upon to grow our business to position it as a market leader.
– Analyse project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
– Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements
– Prepare and submit, professional, detailed quotations, tenders and presentations
– Follow up of all submitted quotations and tenders to the point where they are secured or no longer live opportunities
– Conduct cost analysis and provide cost control guidance throughout the project lifecycle
– Review subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing
– Prepare detailed reports outlining cost breakdowns and recommendations
– Monitor project progress to ensure estimates align with actual costs
– Collate information and produce monthly estimating report to include, number and value of quotations produced, orders secured and feedback received
Skills
– Proven experience as a successful Estimator in the Commercial Glazing industry
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
– Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
– Proficiency in a range of Aluminium and Structural Glazing systems and Logikal and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet's and cost estimation software
