We are recruiting a Breakfast Cook / Chef to join our client's stately home and function venue near Newark, on a Casual contract. Lovely place to work with a supportive Management team.
Many candidates in the sector enjoy Casual contracts as they are flexible to fit around other commitments they have – only work the dates you are available for.
The company has a busy calendar of events this year and are looking for additional support with their Breakfast function.
Day to day, you will be:
– Setting up kitchen and workspace areas
– Checking up on specific function sheets to understand requirements, plans and dietaries for the Breakfast service
– Preparing and presenting continental dishes and pastries in advance
– Catering for a Full English during the breakfast service
– Working within company guidelines on food preparation and cleanliness
– Carrying out a full but efficient clean down function, ensuring work areas are returned to their original state
– There may be scope to expand the role to occasional dinners of up to 30 guests
The ideal candidate has perhaps worked in a pub/restaurant setting or has even ran a B&B in the past and enjoys catering for breakfast functions of anywhere up to 60 guests.
If you have perhaps ran a B&B before or worked in a Housekeeping position, this role could potentially be combined with the company's available post for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to therefore offer additional hours – please see our website for more information.
Shifts will be available from Monday to Sunday as the hours offered will be based on the company's events. Start time tends to be around 7:00am for preparation, followed by service and finishing with undertaking the clean down until 11:00am, however this may vary for specific events.
Rate of pay approx £15.00 per hour depending on experience.
