Assembly Technician

I'm hiring for an Assembly Technician to join our client on the the outskirts of Mansfield/ Newark to join their manufacturing team. They are market leaders in the Uk for what they do and work across the UK with a diverse range of clients. The role is crucial to their operations and requires an organized individual with attention to detail who can work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits and Details:

– Full-time position
– Office hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
– Salary for a Level 2 qualified candidate of between £22,500 – £25,000 dependent on experience.
– Salary for a Level 3 qualified candidate with a minimum of 3 years electrical assembly experience of between £24,000 – £26,500 dependent on experience.
– Company pension scheme available.
– 20 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with additional accrual after 2 years of service (maximum 25 days per year).

Responsibilities include:

– Assembling and fitting out products, including electrical and plumbing components.
– Preparing and packing equipment for delivery according to customer requirements and project schedules.
– Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized workshop area and managing stock levels.
– Conducting quality checks and testing of equipment prior to delivery.
– Assisting with administrative tasks, technical queries, and customer support.
– Contributing to research and development of new products.
– Collaborating with the accounts administrator to track deliveries.

Qualifications and Skills:

– BTEC Level 3 or equivalent electrical engineering qualification with relevant work experience.
– Proficiency in basic Microsoft packages (Word/Excel).
– Forklift truck operation qualification preferred.
– Knowledge of workshop/manufacturing level Health & Safety.
– Enthusiastic, hardworking, and self-motivated.
– Strong teamwork, organization, and attention to detail.

If you don't possess the forklift truck qualification, they will cover the cost of obtaining it. They will also provide training to enhance your knowledge of pumps and control systems.
