Antique House Showroom Manager, Lincoln
My client is an established sale and auction house, which has been passed down through the generations whilst remaining a market leader within their industry in Lincolnshire, I am seeking a professional and experienced showroom manager to join this niche small team.
You will need to be committed to the industry and fully engrossed in the culture of the business, due to the nature of the antiques business.
The role will be diverse, no two days will be the same, you will be dealing with the photography of pieces that come in for the sale ready for the publication in the catalogue and online.
Preparing for the auction, this role will involve moving heavy items around the showroom, there will be porters around to assist
Online administration and general running of the auction house
Customer care, you must be professional and have empathy.
You will need:
To be computer literate, auction site training will be given, imagine editing software knowledge would be an advantage.
Able to take a professional photograph.
Be fit and able to lift heavy items.
General administration, health and safety recording
Assist with staff rotas.
Ensure that the show room is ready for viewing prior to auction day.
The role is Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, 1 hour’s lunch breaks, staggered on Auction days.
One Wednesday and Thursday a month the hours will extend to 7.45am – 10pm, this is to cover the busy auction days
The role is £11 per hour, qualifications within the auction industry are available after the initial probation period, for the right person there are promotion prospects within this company
Full UK driving License is essential for this role
