Accounts Assistant

Our Newark based client is on the search for an enthusiastic individual who is open to a flexible working environment and keen to trained further in all aspects of accounts. This is a 12 month FTC to cover maternity with the possibility of it going permanent.

The right candidate with have experience in an accounts based role with high levels of organisation and attention to detail. An accountancy qualification such as AAT would also be preferred with experience of Sage and Excel also being preferential.

Working Hours are: Monday to Thursday, 9 till 5 & Friday, 9 till 4.30.
Salary is between £24k – £26k dependant on experience.

Duties include but not limited to;
– Reconciliation of company accounts on a monthly basis.
– Liaising with various local businesses to ensure payments are received on time by filing various monthly returns and chasing appropriate contracts.
– Daily reviews of an electronic monitoring system to ensure accurate recording of documentation and finance.
– Ensuring all finances are reconciled at least once per month and maintaining appropriate receipts.
– Creation of monthly reports for inclusion in Monthly performance pack.
– Daily recording of bank account activity in Sage50 accounts.
– General Office Duties including answering the phone, filing, and any other Ad-Hoc tasks that arise.
